Today’s Music to keep me iIIiNnnnNssSSsAaaaaNNnnNeee – Neil Young – Rust Never Sleeps!!

oll out the Road Eyes. Build up the Amps. Rust Never Sleeps!!

I’ve just recently completed my book on Neil Young in the 60s. It’s now off with the publisher but I understand that it won’t be released until next year! We’ll see. The Bob Dylan in the 60s is due out this Summer.

Not sure what is next. Maybe Phil Ochs or maybe The Eels. I’ll see what the publisher wants.

Anyway, this isn’t Neil in the 60s but it is one of my favourites! Happy Saturday! Life slips by – Rust never sleeps! Keep on truckin’!

Today’s Music to keep me IIiiNnnnnSSSsAAAAnnnnNeee – The Great Chuck Berry

It always amazes me that this guy produces a string of rock ‘n’ roll gems that propelled the British beat groups like the Beatles and Rolling Stones into stardom, genius, hard-driving rock with searing guitar runs, and he has his biggest hit with a smutty throw-away ditty. That’s the modern world for you. That’s people.

I wish he’d never recorded My Dingaling. It taints his whole genius run of brilliance.

Heres some more Chuck

Roy Haper – Bullingamingvase

I found myself craving some music with gravity, thought and complex beauty. What better than Roy Haper. A genius of an album. One of Roy’s absolute best. One of those days in England when the created juices fermented into a spirit of perfection.
