Reviews are the lifeblood of an author. We live or die by them.
I check my reviews on Amazon regularly – not out of vanity – but to hear what people actually think about my books and writing.
Writing is a long, lonely business. When you are working on a book you are very subjective. In no position to judge its worth.
It gives me great pleasure to read what people think of my books – that gives me the impetus and enthusiasm to go on.
My new book – The Time Traveller – was published yesterday. I await the first review with bated breath!
