Yes the history of the Middle East is a complex one riddled with hate, racism and religious persecution. A history that the West, particularly Britain, has not covered itself in glory. But this must rate as a new all-time low. To reduce a whole region to rubble, incessantly bomb and shoot innocent civilians, to systematically bomb hospitals and schools and then to purposely starve the terrified survivors; that by any standards is genocide. A genocide riddled by war crimes and on a par with what the Nazi’s did to the Jews.
