They ignored the Cygnus Report, laughed at the tragedies in Italy and Spain, arrogantly thought that it couldn’t happen here because we are British, panicked, dumped infected people into Care Homes, wasted tens of billions on useless PPE/T&T/Apps and loans to criminals, behaved corruptly giving contracts to useless Tory donors and ended up needlessly killing thousands. It wasn’t just incompetence……….

Incompetence is one of the most dangerous things. And it seems so many politicians are just that.
That’s because they are only in it for themselves; for the power and wealth.
On this, I agree with Opher against Pooja. The desire of the political class for power over others (leading, in extreme cases, to genocide), and for the unearned wealth that it brings, causes them to do things that violate our human rights. Surely, some of the lower level operatives are incompetent. But the higher levels, including all the mainstream political parties, are greedy and malicious, not incompetent.
