I guess they don’t have the intelligence to see how stupid they really are!
This reminded me of the Dunning-Kruger effect which is (I quote) “in psychology a cognitive bias whereby people with limited knowledge or competence in a given intellectual or social domain greatly overestimate their own knowledge or competence in that domain relative to objective criteria or to the performance of their peers or of people in general.” Add this to the idea that feelings and opinions are superior to evidence and something rather toxic starts to occur!
That sums it up Dave. MAGA and Trump have put forward such a stream of lies and fake news nobody knows what to believe. Everyone becomes an expert whether they know anything or not.
