Waiting On The Sun

Waiting On The Sun

I’m waiting on the sun

The provider of light and warmth,

Raiser of spirits

Waiting for life to burst forth.

As the days lengthen

                And hope breaks through again

We feel the sap rise

As natures takes up the refrain.

The hedges burst with nascent green,

                Alive with song and dance,

As nests are built

                And love takes its chance.

In the fields the hare’s box;

                The crows gather sticks.

The sun has once again returned.

                Everything to fix.

I’m a Summer person. I love the long, hot days and have to endure the short cold of winter.

Spring is bringing the land back to life, bringing me back to life after my hibernation.

The fresh green of new leaves, the warmth of the sun, the songs of birds, the blue sky. I feel the spirit soaring again!
