  1. One of the conclusions Gray drew in her Partygate report was that a heavy drinking culture was permitted at No.10. I wonder then what justification there can be to continue to have a heavily subsided bar in the HoC paid for by the tax-payer? If parliament is serious about cleaning up its act, then remove this facility, let the over-payed, under-worked, self-serving MP’s we put into power pay their own way in the local pub. If they feel threatened, or compromised, then perhaps it’ll remind them that honour, integrity, truth, trust, and standards of behaviour in public office are underlying principles held dear by the electorate, that they must never diminish.

    1. Good idea!! Remove all their subsidies as well!! Why should they be subsidised!!
Likewise, remove all other income!! Their work is full-time!!

      1. Agreed!! Work full-time, pay your own way, or leave public office. Simple.

Why, for example, is funding of second homes provided when there are now many vacant buildings in London that could be repurposed as a government hotel. It doesn’t need to be lavish, just functional…in fact just like the majority of us could afford.

I’m sure you could come up with a long list!
