Poetry – Colours

Colours

There’s gold in a rainbow,

                Gold in a smile,

                                Gold in the mountains,

A rainbow and the sun.

There silver in the moon,

                Green in trees,

                                Blue in the seas,

And endless black in a gun.

Gold is a warm colour – the warmest. It glistens and shines. When the sun sets it illuminates the clouds.

Black is the absence of colour.
