Poetry – Dez’s Song

Dez’s Song

Tripping in the dark

The stars shine so bright

The colours of the wind

Can all feel so right

Psychedelic symphonies

Hanging on the breeze

As the warm air of summer

Puts everyone at ease

We’re just tripping, tripping in the dark

Wandering through life

Searching for the spark.

Tripping, tripping in the dark

As the world sleeps around us

We’re playing in the park.

Greens and blues and swirling hues

Among the flower beds

Stars and moons and crazy tunes

Playing in our heads

Friends and lovers the sky above us

With the universe we’re wed.

We’re just tripping, tripping in the dark

Wandering through life

Searching for the spark.

Tripping, tripping in the dark

As the world sleeps around us

We’re playing in the park.

Electricity is flowing

With a vivid pulsing glow

Streams of raw energy

For those within the know

We’ll never leave it behind us

Even when we’ve got to go.

We’re just tripping tripping in the dark

Wandering through life

Searching for the spark.

Tripping tripping in the dark

As the world sleeps around us

We’re playing in the park.

I'd like to hear from you...
