We don’t own anything
Anymore.
We sold our housing,
Sold water and gas
Sold all we owned to foreign scams
Now all we can export
Is war.
We dumped ourselves
Out of the bloc,
Prostituting ourselves around the world
Getting used to
Being poor.
We chose austerity
When given the choice
We loved the racism on offer
All we like is
Blood and gore.
We wave our flags
And bare our chests
Pretend we’re still important
A tiny island on a
Foreign shore.
Meanwhile the architects
Of our disaster
Are raking in the millions
Lo and behold they still
