We’ve had more than our fair share of Blues guitarists from Clapton, Beck and Page to Albert Lee, Peter Green and T.S. McPhee.
Tony was another who had been there from the beginning. He formed the Groundhogs. I can’t say I enjoyed all their rambling through psychedelia and progressive but when Tony played that Blues guitar he was great – either in a band or solo acoustic. Magic.
I had the good fortune to see him play a number of times in different combinations and get to chat to him. He will be sadly missed!
