Marianne Faithful

Always Faithful. Life and experience can bring a deeper emotional understanding. This song started as a pop ditty, a Jagger Richards early pop song. In her seventies Marianne reinvented it. She changed that pop ditty into something more substantial. The wistful melancholy was there. She’d lived it.

The naïve, innocent convent girl had evolved into the strong but sad older woman; a woman who had lived and loved.
