My Walk At Grosmont in Yorkshire.

We set off from the village of Grosmont – a place of wonder for railway enthusiasts. It has the first railway tunnel in the world and boasts a station before there was one in Lodon. The railways started up in the North of England and Grosmont was a major industrial site with mining for iron ore and foundries – all long gone.

We walked out of the historic village and along the trail past the wild garlic and up to the bluebells. The sun shone through the woods. Beautiful. Gushing streams and waterfalls. We went up above the trees into the open pastures full of sheep with new lambs. Dry stone walls and skeleton trees. Then walked along the top of the hills.
