Writing goals is easy; attaining them is harder.
My goal is is relish every moment as much as I can.
This is a 4000 week holiday in reality – not even a blink in eternity. Life is short.
I aim to keep my cardiac muscles contracting, raise and lower my sternum and keep electricity flowing through those old synapses.
I want to strain my eyes, ears and taste buds with novel experiences that flood my cerebral cortex with endorphins.
I want to lose myself in words flowing in and out taking me to other worlds and universes, other lives and experiences.
I intend to embrace every second and wring it dry. From sunrise to sunset, full moons, stars, rocks and crashing waves, holding hands, love and creation, the flames of a wood fire, the taste of a fine wine, the softly chewed flavour of a special meal. Delight and relish. It’s precious. It’s the little things.
I hope to share it all with the electricity of people I love.
I want the highs to be greater than the lows and to accept and deal with the blows in the knowledge that nothing lasts forever; we can do wonders if we try.
We can overcome obstacles, deal with problems and make things better.
We have life.
