Les Cousins was such a great place. Down in the cellar with a sense of shared camaraderie. I saw some fabulous people and brilliant performances from the like of Roy Harper, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and a multitude of others. So intimate and relaxed.
Les Cousins was where I first saw Roy play – sandwiched between Bert Jansch and John Renbourn. What wouldn’t I give to go to a gig like that in a small club. Heaven!!
I doubt they’ll ever be a time quite like it, a set of performers of that quality or an atmosphere of such genuine togetherness. Exceptional times. Exceptional memories.
I need a time machine!
For now, this 3 CD collection will have to serve as a memento.
NICE 💚💓
