Given that with 8 billion plus people we can’t all go back to hunter gathering and, being social, I wouldn’t really want to live on a desert island, it is pleasant to muse on what the world could be like.
My ideal world would have no religion but plenty of what I would call spirituality – awe and wonder at nature and the universe, life and beauty.
Plenty of love.
No nations.
Far greater equality.
An end to greed and violence.
No wars.
Greater harmony, caring for the weaker members of society and a helping hand.
Good education that is illuminating, expanding and full of investigation, discovery and wonder.
No racism.
Politicians who are subjected to absolute scrutiny and accountability.
A media that is not a propaganda machine.
A society that is in complete harmony of nature, cherishes and protects all species and understands the complexity of the natural world and interconnected food web.
A society that harnesses science for the greater good and not violence and cash.
