We headed from Thailand through the border into Cambodia.
We then boarded a small boat and headed off down a small river into the great lake. A large number of people were living through fishing. It was quite evident that the whole place was heavily overfished. It couldn’t last.

That’s so sad about the overfishing. It happens all over the world.
The river is one huge fishing industry from one end to the other and they’re taking all the tiny fish before they can breed. It’s nuts.
That’s so sad. The same thing has been happening on the Somali coast.
The problem is really overpopulation. There are too many people fishing or eating fish. I think it is a worldwide problem. Many fish species are threatened.
Yeah, I think so. Overpopulation is one of the biggest problem causing so many other problems.
We need a global policy with some incentives I think.
I wish governments would do more about it but they just don’t care. Like with the poaching issue in Africa which is causing so many animals to become extinct or endangered. Something needs to be done.
I think it’s a mixture of corruption, incompetence and couldn’t-care-less.
