Crashing Out

Crashing Out

He came bursting out of the water

With his one majestic daughter

Not doing what they oughta

And never asking why.

Her name was Aphrodite

Her stature was so mighty

With the promise of what might be

Look at her and die.

Tore through the confusion

Energy in profusion

Destroying the illusion

Ripping suns right out the sky.

I called to her so sweetly

Positioned myself discreetly

Gave myself completely

Nothing left but to have a try.

I woke up this morning with this sitting in my head. I had to write it down and try to work out what it meant.

I think it’s a love poem to a beautiful woman. I found myself thinking of Grace Slick circa 1968.
