Nicely put, except that my belly has contracted over the last few years. But then, I’ll be 70 in 26 days’ time.
You’ll be catching me up, nearly, I’ll be 74 next month. How is that possible? 74 used to be ancient now it’s middle-aged!
Odd, that. I’ve been 4 years behind you for as long as I’ve known you. It looks as if Zeno was right – my hare is never going to catch up your tortoise!
Never stop trying though, Neil. There might be a short-cut.
Wonderful poem, he really captures what it’s like to get older.
Chris Riddell is very special!
