Opher, I lived and worked in Rotterdam from 1977 to 1980. I liked the place and people. Each time I go there (the last time was in 2019), it has changed. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not. This Market Hall (opened in 2014) I haven’t been to, but it looks a bit garish to me. The Kijk-Kubus houses are interesting, but not my style. Ah well, perhaps I’m getting old and “conservative.” 🙂 (But definitely not Tory).
Lol. No, I don’t see you as a Tory, Neil.
I loved Rotterdam even though it was a dreary day when we were there. The cube houses were really spectacular and interesting. It was interesting going in to them. It was hard to imagine but they worked. I didn’t find the Market Hall too garish – looked great to me. I was very taken.
