You are not allowed on the island without a guide. Supposedly the dragons are dangerous!
We found our guide and set off up a trail to a water hole where the dragons tend to gather. We had not gone far before we found our first dragon. It was asleep under a hut!
We continued and saw another that appeared more lively!
Their bite is full of infectious germs. It is not immediately fatal. They follow their meal around until it drops dead. So yes keep your distance.
Yes – best not to get nipped!!
