I had to laugh this morning. I heard the Tories rallying around trying to justify Johnson’s worrying Peppa Pig mess-up.
They were trying to make it sound as if the PM was spot on. Peppa Pig was the epitome of British success.
But it wasn’t so much the puerile silliness of his performance or the content – it was the way he went to pieces. The imbecile with the inability to think showed through. Without an autocue, he’s a shambles. Even with an autocue he’s a bumbling fool.
But then these Tories know all there is to know about pigs; they’ve visited enough troughs.
And lots of posh pigs in detached houses on top of hills.
