Poetry – What is a tree? – a peon to anthropomorphism and consciousness.

We are incredibly thoughtless when dealing with living organisms.

  1. Namaste Opher, how are you 🙂

Just passing by and thought I’d drop tis link into a comment to substantiate the post.

Makes for a fascinating read. Tis true to say: ‘There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.’ – Shakespeare, Hamlet (1.5.167-8) – Hamlet to Horatio.

Have a great afternoon and evening.

    Namaste 🙂

    1. What a great article Dewin. Thanks for putting that up here. I’m sure there’s a lot more about the wonder of trees waiting to be discovered.
History, if we survive long enough, will view us as primitive savages I’m sure. How’s that book going?

      1. Namaste Opher 🙂

No problem. The article held my attention from start to finish…it was something I read after having watched Avatar.

I’m quite certain there’s a whole lot more about the wonder of Life in all its complexity still waiting to be discovered, not just trees.

I hope our species will rise above its myopic outlook and embrace a higher culture although probably not in my lifetime. However, it’s good to know Earth is eternal in relation to our ephemeral existence…She will always prevail.

Regards the book: my pen is presently paused whilst I invest my thoughts in consideration of some new pieces of artwork, which may or may not be included in the book. I’ll most likely return to writing the book after the festivities – this end of the year gets quite busy and extended periods of time spent writing are not as frequent. I’m quite enjoying the break actually and chance to dabble a little more in shorter poems – long distance poetry is quite tiring 🙂

And you? Anything new on the writer’s loom?

        Namaste 🙂

  2. Dewin – I am sure you are right. We are at the beginning of the tale. There is much more to be found out. Mystery is the art of life.
More power to your pen. Write on!
