It is almost beyond belief that someone of this intellectual standard can rise to such a level. It could only be topped if Dan Quayle had become President. What does it tell us?

The word thing has got me this week. I just had to search for some

George Bush’isms – he’s a renowned wordnik: 

“It’s time for the human race to enter the solar system.”

⇒  He is a shining star.

“The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country.”

⇒ Sharp as a tack

” It isn’t pollution that’s harming the environment. It’s the impurities in our air and water that are doing it. ”

⇒ I never knew.

“If we don’t succeed, we run the risk of failure.”

⇒  Seriously ?!

“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

⇒ An infinite spectrum of possibilities

Well, I think if you say you’re going to do something and don’t do it, that’s trustworthiness.

    was at least sort of honest

      1. No, not that rare really. We have bang-on the truth statements made all the time but we ignore them for they are camouflaged with tittle-tattle, which is far more appealing to many, hence why the need for Democrats.
        It was Henry Kissinger who said, “the first thing we do is illegal, what follows is unconstitutional.” He made several hundred other such enlightened expressions of fact within his time.
