A poem that tackles the evil of child abuse head on. Thanks Dewin.

Hey Opher,
Thank you for hiking up the hill to get to our sunny field: the highest vantage point known locally and a place with the best view in town! 🙂
Indeed there is no excuse for the wilful destruction of sweet innocence, and there should be no escaping justice for anyone either, including those who seek to hide behind wealth and privilege deflecting knowledge of their crimes. As Dewin Nefol, I have personally commented on your Blog Opher regarding introducing new laws to tackle child-sex abuse, especially those found guilty of serial child-sex abuse. I personal would have no hesitation in reintroducing Medieval torture to a list of possible sentences available: one of which would be public impalement. Whilst I do not condone violence or the use of it to apply the law, I do think there should be a very nasty sting in the tail when sentencing those guilty of serial sex crimes against children.

I agree that paedophila is worthy of harsh punishment but I am not impelled to impale.

Hey Opher,
Kind unto the very last full stop, your re-Blog is wonderfully supportive thank you good sir
Only by raising awareness of child sex-abuse as an ever-present evil haunting small corners of the world will right and proper change come about to salvage the lives of thousands of abused children. It is vile and it will not go away unless something is done to eradicate the evil gene from the human bean, to identify the motivation behind it, and then remove that threat at source for good.
Gallybloggers have presented statistics in comments highlighting the intolerable level of child abuse in the UK, together with statistics reporting on levels of poverty in the UK. Research strongly suggests that there is direct relationship between poverty and child-abuse. What is concerning in these statistics is that 63% of children in poverty in the UK are in families where someone works. Clearly something is very wrong with the manner in which support is provided or in the availability of support networks for the most vulnerable. Evident also is the woeful investment given to eradicating child poverty else incidents would not be so high.
Children are our future, if they cannot be kept safe, warm, and loved what understanding might they come to about human values and how these perceived values so often contradict or become confused with the less well used and far less well understood term worth?
Thank you Opher. Grateful as always for your company, thanks for also sharing Evil Weevil’s punchy poem onwards via the re-blog. Your support is most welcome.
Take care Opher of the North.
Namaste

Dewin – Child abuse is a vile evil that needs stamping out. I am happy to put my shoulder to the wheel.
Thank you Opher, your broad shoulders are immeasurably supportive and your energetic drive a momentum snowballing others to rally to the cause and help fight the one good fight still left to be won.
That wheel we all keep pushing through the modern world mire:: the one that is gathering speed – could it be the rolling red wheel of non-violent social revolution?
Namaste 🙂

I feel a change in the air. I think the slow cogs of society are moving and this hideous crime is finally seeing the light of day.
Hey Opher,
Society often fails to give proper attention to matters of great importance whilst regrettably giving trivia greater exposure. Change is coming in the shape of Love wielding a flaming sword rather than a burning filthy desire.
Thank you Opher for providing space to promote our intention of raising public and political awareness as to the plight of so many children both in the UK and sadly around the entire world. Child sex-abuse must stop, and it must stop now.
Namaste Opher of the North.

All the best to you Dewin.
To you also. Thank you.
Namaste 🙂
