You know, on a humanitarian level one thing on your list stuck out to me this time. It’s how I feel about jobs that are being sent to other countries. While I agree that it’s crippling our industries, I also have compassion for the folks in these other countries that MAY be making a living for the first time (IF they’re being paid a fair wage…). Isn’t that part of the dream of equality, too? That the wealth should be spread around? For me that’s one of those issues I can’t resolve in my head.
I agree Cheryl. They deserve a break and they deserve a fair income. Unfortunately they are being unscrupulously exploited. The plants are moved there because of cheap land and cheap labour. They do not have such rigorous Health and Safety or working conditions. They can maximise their profits and pay less tax.
The wealth is being siphoned off into the pockets of fewer and fewer people. They are avoiding tax and not contributing.
It stinks Cheryl.
