We headed off out of Shanghai to what has been described as the Venice of China. I can’t say that it looked a lot like Venice apart from being built on canals. It was still very interesting. We went into a local café and had the worst meal ever – chicken with very soggy cabbage. The chicken was merely chopped to pieces and boiled. It ended up tasteless and full of splintered bone. Inedible. But the experience was great!
