If fined he resigns. Easy enough. If you commit a crime (particularly one of arrogantly riding roughshod over the very rules you created for everyone else) you should do the honourable thing and RESIGN!!
If Starmer is found guilty and resigns where does that leave Johnson and Sunak! It shows them up for what they are!!
