What is Woke Culture?
It comes from American slang:
Alert to injustice in society, especially racism. “we need to stay angry, and stay woke“
Well I’m totally opposed to racism!
I’m also totally opposed to injustice in our society. I stand for equality, a level playing field and freedom.
I can see that our system is unjust. It rewards a small minority out of all proportion and punishes a large majority for no fault of their own. I believe that needs addressing.
If you are slaving just to exist and have no money you cannot access the same privileges as others.
There is one rule for one and one rule for another!
This applies to the justice system, education, work and most other areas of society.
I want a playing field that is much more level!
I WOKE to this gross injustice long ago.
I can see why the Tories take such an intense dislike of the Woke Movement. They stand for injustice and inequality. They set up the system that favours them! The last thing they want is equality and justice. You just have to look at the absurd massive contracts given out to cronies to see that!
They use the media to vilify the idea of Woke, to belittle it.
Tories think they are an elite that is above the law and entitled to privilege. That’s why they stink!!

again more class considerations than not. why we now have a class system in thev states that makes upward mobility impossible. bein homeless now makes you a criminal, and working folks often have back due rents $10,000 or more. “just buy a ticket (uni degree at 6 figures) to the middle class.” “all homeless are crazy junkies, round ’em up and despose of them outta sight and mind. they’re just lazy if they can’t afford $2000 a month for a 1 bedroom apt.” “paying these bums more than $7.25 an hour is a waste of profit.” …and so it goes.
Without a good trade union support working people are fucked. The capitalists exploit everyone they can. Greed rules!!

I was a member of the IWW for a couple of years in early 70s. IWW still got people going where I lived (Everett WA). still a lot of guilt about the Everett Massacre.
It’s hard to believe that local people took against the wobblies enough to shoot them. The wobblies were on their side! Propaganda is powerful. People are irrational!
The locals were sheriff deputies and members Cascade Club a biz org that still exists. couple of days before the everett massacre, these clowns rounded up wobs, took them south of everett , stripped them naked and beat them with sticks and devils club stalks, making them walks back to Seattle. small wonder why wobs showed up armed
