Britain – the mongrel race – the German Angles and Saxons, the Indian Celts, the Italian Romans, French Normans and Scandinavian vikings.
It’s no wonder we don’t really know what our culture is. We’re such a mixture – full of hybrid vigour!
Hadrian’s wall was interesting and picturesque. The museum full of fascinating artefacts. At the outdoor cafe the birds pecked up the crumbs and in the lake the swans and grebes played.
All barriers melt.
