When psychedelia meets New Orleans R&B for a superb sixties album. Walk on Gilded Splinters is wonderful.

  1. My husband and I were at the French Quarter Music Fest the last tine he played there. He was amazing. It looked like the entire city of New Orleans was crowded onto the Moon Walk to watch him play.

    1. I saw him play in a small club in Hull – just him and a piano. I sat right in front of him. He was fabulous.
We visited New Orleans a few times and I saw Irma Thomas perform. I wish I’d been able to catch Doctor John there (or Snooks Eaglin) I’m very jealous.

      1. The French Quarteer Music Fest is the best band for your buck. They have 22 stages and local musicians play until about eight o’clock every night. The entire even is free. My husband and I planned to go last year, but the pandemic put a stop to our adventure.

      2. I’d love to go to that. My daughter used to live in Baton Rouge. We went to stay and did a big tour up through Mississippi following the Blues trail. Fabulous.

I'd like to hear from you...
