Argentina, Patagonia – Puerto Madryn – photos

A strange Welsh outpost in Patagonia. The Welsh came here and set up a colony in the hostile pampas. It’s shrub desert. But they kept sheep and made a living.

There’s not much to see but shrubland. We visited a farm and a strutting gaucho showed us how he sheared sheep. An amazing amount of wool off one sheep.

There were a pair of owls in the barn watching us.
