Poem – The Last Bonobo

The Last Bonobo

The last bonobo was shot today

Joining the jaguars and the whales.

The chimpanzees butchered for their meat

Pangolins stabbed for their scales.

The orangutans have nowhere to live.

Forests cleared for palm oil.

Temperatures are rising.

Soon seas will start to boil.
