What part of the instructions did you not understand Mr Cummings???

What part of the instructions did you not understand Mr Cummings???

If anyone in the household displays symptoms (like your wife):

  • Everyone in the household should stay at home for 14 days.
  • That means, if possible, you should not go out even to buy food or essentials.
  • You must stay at home.
  • You should not be meeting family members who do not live in your home.

I can’t see anything in those guidelines that suggests you can drive 250 miles, with a sick wife displaying symptoms, to visit your grandparents and set up a new home next door. Neither does it suggest that you can pop out for the day to visit castles even if it is a birthday!!

My son and his wife had covid symptoms with three young children in the house. They live the other side of the country. Would it have been OK for them to drive over to us? He’s a nurse – not some useless lying cretin – but he followed the rules.

So Mr Cummings – what part of the rules (that you helped put together) did you not understand??? Or was it that you thought they applied to everyone else but not yourself??

Mr Johnson – does that mean we can all interpret the rules how we like???

Where does this leave all the people who have been fined for breaking the rules (or who have lost their jobs)??
