“Desolation. All is desolation.” Better to be a desolation angel than just a dweller in the Bay Area. I suppose you could be both. Jack’s mind must have gone into total overload his first day and night in the Desolation Peak fire outlook. “Pass the burbon! I’m from NYC.”
I would love to have gone up there to feel that place! Desolation Angels was my favourite book of his.
