Photography – The Eden Project – An adventure in Ecology.
The Eden Project was set up in a gully in Cornwall. It is an adventurous exploration of horticulture in geodesic domes that look like an alien has landed in the place.
The geodesic greenhouses are home for many exotic climates. It’s a great place to visit. A bit alternative and difference – like Kew Gardens with a touch of acid.

Aliens in the valley
I was doing this artistic thing – looking for the patterns in exotic leaves – I called it horticultural art.
I was very taken with these works of art painted on the rocks. I think they brought an artist across to do them. I thought they were great.

Hey Opher – The domes are an extraordinary sight on the landscape: very alien. I visited a few years ago and was thoroughly impressed, the diversity of plant life collected from around the world enhances that other-worldly feeling…inside it feels like being in another world: a most peculiar but acceptable sensation.
Readily brought to mind was the film ‘Silent Running’ (A 1972 environmental-themed American post-apocalyptic science fiction film starring Bruce Dern) which if never seen, I’d thoroughly recommend. It’ll tick all your boxes!
Patternation created with leaves, such as those you’ve created, makes me think of Fractals: many natural phenomena are fractal. (A fractal is a never-ending pattern, infinitely complex that are self-similar across different scales. Driven by recursion, fractals are images of dynamic systems – the pictures of Chaos.)
The painted rocks, one wonders at their meaning 😉

Hi Dewin, Yes – I can imagine those domes on a Martian landscape!
I loved those paintings on the rocks. They screamed nature, mysticism and spirituality to me. We’re all part of the great flow of nature. Wonderful.
