I was very sad to hear of the loss of Jeremy Hardy. It is a rare talent to be able make humour out of serious situations. Jeremy tackled subjects such as racism, terrorism and inequality.
I shall miss his incisive wit. We need people like him who will stand up intelligently against the madness of fascism, racism and right-wing intolerance.
He will be missed. His advantage over other political comedians was that he made it funny, first and foremost, so the message crept up on you. You laughed and that opened you up to what he was saying. He set the bar very high.
He was so quick and incisive too. Quite unique. I did not know he was even ill. I’ll miss him a lot.
