Human history is not pretty, Opher. The real tragedy is that peaceful protests are largely ineffective. History teaches us that if you want to change a system based upon the greed of the few, violence is the most effective course of action.
Yes – I was hoping we had become better but I don’t think we have.
It’s somewhat disheartening.
Yes John – there’s a lot of disheartening stuff around at the moment. But things will improve. Everything goes in cycles.
