12 years ago this week Australia’s famous Wildlife Warrior, Steve Irwin, died after being pierced in the heart by a stingray barb. He was filming an underwater documentary at the time. “Crikey, mate.”

Steve was renowned for his passion and love of animals. After his death, his wife Terri and children Bindi and Bob carry on his work in conservation, animal protection and rescue.  Australia Zoo, founded by his parents, is located 80  kilometres north of Brisbane in Queensland.
