We walked from the side of a loch up into the mountains. As we got above the clouds the loch below was like a child’s mirror.

The weather was kind to us. One of the locals told me that you usually couldn’t see the peaks.
Yes, it took me 30 odd years to see all of the Ring of Kerry as was completely misty the first time and then was given little revelations of certain parts.
Such is the nature of our climate Georgina. It rains a lot in Scotland, Ireland and Wales. But that makes it all the more wonderful when the clouds part!
