All over the world from England and Wales to China, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka I have come across DRAGONS. These mythical beasts that do not exist feature in the art and stories of so many countries.
Maybe in some dim, distant, primeval past dragons roamed the earth !

Doesn’t seem very likely does it? I think we’d have found some evidence of them. It just seems strange that they should appear so prominently in so many cultures.

You’re right, Opher. It is strong in the mythology of many cultures. But then, so are unicorns too. TS Summers writes a lot of dragon and other mythology related poetry. It’s very good too. There is a fascination for these creatures.

And mermaids!! I wonder if it is travelers and seafarers, traders and harpers spreading the tales of wonder?

Giant lizards are scary and even more scary if they can fly.
