      1. Of course, Opher.
        When I was a kid, a victim of the State schooling, I was continually hammered with “The Constitution”, particularly later amendments regarding “Human Rights”.
        The declaration of independence was ignored in my forced education. But, later, when I was on the road with various rock and country bands, I took it upon myself to look at the original document. Lo and behold, there was a quick and dirty play book to deter tyranny.
        I’m not against rules, I’m against RULERS. And, from what I can fathom, there is where our differences lie. You seem all too happy to bow down to rulers if they say the right stuff and have proper accreditation.

      2. Hi Jack – the constitution was a well devised document. I like it.
        I too like rules and distrust rulers. I’m not sure what comes across in my blog. But I do think that we need a strong set of rules and a clear constitution whose philosophy is that of a compassionate, fair society,
        Leaders invariably let us down, for a number of reasons. I think we need a better system of selection. We always end up with a choice between the lesser of two evils.
        But we do need a good leader.
        I am also very keen on a universal body to control the excesses of capitalism. My major concern is that of the environment. I think the multinationals are taking us all for a ride. They need curbing. I think the powerful and wealthy are holding us to ransome. We need to take away their means.

      3. Jack – I’m sorry to hear you felt yourself to be a victim of State Schools. That should not be the case. I too was a victim of my State school. You might have enjoyed my school though. I tried to correct all the things that were wrong.
        What bands were you in? As you know I’m a Rock nut.

  3. I think that the multinationals are indeed taking you for a ride. If you look in to the UN, agendas 21-30 Paris accords etc. you will see that it is the multinationals at the root., always in favor..don’t be duped by their false concern for “environmentalism”. It’s all about the bastardization of the original idea of technocracy, that’s the PR scheme.
    There is no possibility of a “universal body” to govern these folks. “They” are eugenicists.
    Agorism is beyond their control.

    1. Jack – then there is no hope. The machine eats up the earth and spews out plastic for the greed of the owners. If it isn’t controlled then we are doomed, as is nature. These people operate outside the boundaries of nations and skulk in the shadows. How would you control them?

      1. I don’t think we are “doomed” , “hope” though seems odd coming from an anti-theist. I think than an Agoric society is within natural order. Try as you might, can’t control nature.

      2. Jack – I don’t think hope is a religious concept is it? I still have hope that we can build a better world.
        What do you mean by an Agoric Society? What would that be based on?
        We might not be able to control nature but I think we certainly are affecting it. The extinction rates are soaring, pollution levels zooming, weather systems being hammered and global warming taking off. The Anthropocene is just kicking in.

  4. I would have very much enjoyed a teacher like you! I don’t have many claims to fame…played in bands for many years on the road…food on the table stuff. Some folks know of me for three albums I produced for Bill Dees; he was previously a co-writer with Roy Orbison.

    1. I certainly would have enjoyed exchanging views in an open setting. I enjoyed teaching my kids. They were great. They make you think.
      Right – were those albums under your own name?
