Victor Jara and John Lennon – Poets murdered for their views. Thank you Michael Glen Bell. Poets Fall – The Project

Victor Jara was a Chilean activist and singer. He was murdered by Thatcher’s favourite – General Pinochet. He sang songs of Love, Peace and Social Justice.

They tortured him, smashed his hands with a hammer and mocked him, telling him to play his songs. Eventually they shot him and threw his body into the street.

Lennon was gunned down in cold blood because a madman wanted fame.
