DUP Blues Too – A song of lament.

DUP BLUES TOO

I’m taking my bible in school today.

They say that we’ll need it as we learn how to pray.

Two hours of Jesus and three hours of prayer.

We might do some maths if there’s any time to spare.

I’ve got the DUP Blues

From my head to my shoes.

But my faith is in Corbyn

He’d better not lose.

We’re learning creationism in science today.

We’ve already learnt the sins of being gay;

That Jesus loves you and sex is a sin

And if you get pregnant you can only use gin.

I’ve got the DUP Blues

From my head to my shoes.

But my faith is in Corbyn

He’d better not lose.

One of the teachers has taken a shine to me.

He helps with my homework as I sit on his knee.

As I write down the answers he fondles my thigh.

If I wriggle around he lets out a big sigh.

I’ve got the DUP Blues

From my head to my shoes.

But my faith is in Corbyn

He’d better not lose.

I’m sick to the back teeth of bible and belt.

But I don’t think anyone understands Just how I felt.

I asked my father who’s to blame and will pay?

He says it’s the Tories and Theresa May.

I’ve got the DUP Blues

From my head to my shoes.

But my faith is in Corbyn

He’d better not lose.
